The Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency (AMAD) and the Swiss Sports Integrity Agency (ASIS) signed, on Thursday in Rabat, a partnership agreement to promote the exchange of experience and expertise on anti-doping.
The agreement will enhance AMAD’s expertise in anti-doping measures and bolster the capabilities of the agency’s committees.
AMAD head, Fatima Abouali, called collaboration with the globally renowned Swiss Sports Integrity Agency as a “valuable opportunity to advance AMAD’s operational framework.” She highlighted the noticeable efforts of the agency over the past three years, which led to the Swiss agency’s decision to formalize the partnership.
The arrangement paves the way for numerous forms of cooperation, such as the implementation of a quality management system to embrace best practices in anti-doping testing protocols. It will also facilitate enhanced communication channels and international collaboration.
ASIS Director Ernst König noted that “the collaboration with AMAD will prioritize the exchange of experiences and methodologies to enhance the operations of both agencies in combating doping and refining their practices.”
König added that the agreement “establishes a robust foundation for a fruitful partnership that will ultimately benefit athletes from both Morocco and Switzerland.”
