Moroccan Ministry of Solidarity Social Integration and Family, and Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency on Wednesday signed a partnership agreement to devise social assistance programs and human development projects in Palestine.
Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Aawatif Hayar, and the Director in charge of the management of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui signed the agreement.
The agreement aims to implement social protection initiatives for vulnerable families and children who have become orphans due to war, by enhancing the action of the agency’s partner institutions and strengthening coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development. Through these efforts, the partners hope to provide support for Palestinians, particularly those who have been displaced.
Hayar told the media that this agreement also seeks to promote initiatives for the economic empowerment of Palestinian women and to achieve social justice by supporting productive families.
The Palestinian Minister of Social Development Samah Abo Awn Hamad stated that “this agreement is a roadmap to strengthen the cohesion and resilience of Palestinian families by developing social economy programs that generate sustainable income and services for vulnerable groups and war-affected families.”
Hamad also noted that “this cooperation is part of the many Moroccan initiatives to support the resistance of the Palestinian people through the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, by creating socio-economic projects to benefit families in difficult circumstances.”
The Palestinian delegation, including officials from Al-Quds and Gaza, started the official visit to Morocco on Monday and will finish on Friday.
