The Northern city of Chefchaouen will host the first edition of Tizirane Festival on July 5-7 in the rural municipalities of Bab Berred and Ounane under the theme “Lemmat El Ansara, a gateway to tourism development and collective spirit in Ghmara.”
Organized by the Tizirane Moubadara association, the festival seeks to promote local tourism in Bab Berred and the surrounding communities, as well as the Jebli cultural heritage.
The festival will feature artistic, cultural, and intellectual activities. The seminars “Cultural Heritage and the Environment,” and “Solidarity Economy,” will also be featured at the event as well as a debate on challenges and opportunities.
Local products and artworks will also be showcased. Folklore groups from the local communities of Bni Ouzien, Amoukane, and Tidghine will participate in the festival.
The festival’s venues include the Bab Berred stadium square, the Ounane community annex, the multidisciplinary center of Bab Berred, and the El Gharassi Café square.
This event is supported by the Provincial Directorate of Culture in Tetouan and the province of Chefchaouen, backed by the Ministry of Tourism, the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the Chefchaouen Provincial Council, the Northern Development and Promotion Agency (APDN), and other partners.
