The “Bayt Al-Maqdis” Center for Research and Studies opened on Monday at the headquarters of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in Rabat in the presence of Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohammed Mehdi Bensaïd, a Palestinian delegation, and various Moroccan and Palestinian figures.
This center will provide “a strong impetus” for research into the history of the Palestinian cause, Bensaid told MAP. It is expected to foster studies, scientific activities, and research to promote closer scientific and academic ties between Morocco and the State of Palestine.
“The Palestinian delegation’s presence is an opportunity to bolster bilateral cooperation between the two countries,” he added, underlining “the solidarity between the two brotherly nations” in light of the Palestinians’ “tough situation.”
Bensaid said the ministry is ready to promote cooperation and joint action with Palestinians to “bring their cultures closer, exchange experiences between young people, and provide the State of Palestine with expertise, particularly with respect to communication and the media.”
Palestinian Minister for Al-Quds Affairs Ashraf Al-Aawar said that the inauguration of the “Bayt Al-Maqdis” Center, in accordance with the King’s High Directives and the efforts of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, is “critical in promoting studies about Al-Quds and its people.”
