Palestine’s Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Ashraf Al Aawar, expressed his appreciation on Monday in Rabat for the humanitarian medical aid that Morocco has provided to the Palestinian people in Gaza, stating that it will “raise their spirits.”
In a statement to MAP during the launch of the “Bayt Al Maqdis” Research and Study Center, Al Aawar also highlighted Morocco’s ongoing efforts to “alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in difficult circumstances,” underlining that the aid builds on Morocco’s previous support for the Gaza Strip.
He commended the significant and active role of King Mohammed VI, the Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, and his directives to strengthen the population’s resilience in Al Quds through various projects in education and health, which contribute significantly to maintaining essential services in the Holy City.
King Mohammed VI has ordered another humanitarian operation to deliver medical supplies to the Palestinian population in Gaza. The aid will include 40 tons of medical supplies, consisting of equipment for burn treatment, emergency surgery, orthopedics, and fractures, as well as other basic medicines.
The monarch reportedly contributed a considerable portion of this relief from his own finances.
