In a fatal accident on Sunday, seven people were killed and three others injured on the national toll-free road between Outate El Haj and Missour in the Boulemane area, central Morocco.
The accident was caused by a collision between two vehicles, security sources said, adding that ambulance and security teams rushed to the scene to provide assistance and transport the injured to the regional hospital in Missour to receive the necessary treatment.
The authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the incident
Morocco recorded 3,499 road deaths in 2022, a 5% decrease compared to 2021, according to the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA), which noted that vulnerable road users represent almost three-quarters of all deaths.
