The Spanish Council of Ministers approved a loan of 2.66 Bln MAD for the sustainable infrastructure Acciona-owned business to finance the design, building, operation, and maintenance of a desalination plant in Morocco, according to Europa Press
The loan from the Fund for the Internationalization of Spanish Enterprises (FIEM) aligns with Spain’s “Horizon Africa” plan.
It seeks to increase the presence of Spanish enterprises in Africa while also contributing to the continent’s growth through key infrastructure projects such as this desalination plant, which is projected to be one of the most significant in Africa.
