Morocco was out of the 2024 World Competitiveness Ranking list of 67 of the most economically efficient countries, released recently by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).
Six Arab countries and four African countries ranked highly on the list of the most competitive countries in the world.
The UAE topped the list of the most competitive Arab countries and the highest per capita purchasing power, ranking seventh in the world.
Qatar ranked 11th, followed by Saudi Arabia at 16th, Bahrain at 21st, Kuwait at 37th, and Jordan at 48th.
Botswana leads the African list after coming 55th, South Africa is the runner-up in Africa with 60th spot, followed by Nigeria (64th) and Ghana (65th).
The report’s methodology is based on four main points (economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency, and infrastructure), under which 20 sub-axes cover 334 indicators.
