Sweltering heat is forecast in a number of provinces in Morocco beginning on Saturday through to Monday, according to an orange alert weather bulletin issued by Morocco’s Meteorological Agency (DGM).
DGM said that temperatures are expected to range between 37°C and 42°C during this period in the provinces of Beni Mellal, Fquih Bensalah, Khenifra, Settat, Rehamna, Youssoufia, and Chichaoua.
The heatwave is also expected to affect other provinces, including El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Moulay Yaacoub, Fez, Meknes, Taounate, Sidi Slimane, Khemisset, Sidi Kacem, Errachidia, Zagora, Tinghir, Tata, and Aousserd.
