Morocco will be the guest of honor at the 20th Mediterranean Festival in Loulé on June 27-30.
This festival will showcase the rich and diverse aspects of Moroccan culture, including its gastronomy and craftsmanship, with a focus on the creations of Moroccan handicraftsmen.
This year’s edition will celebrate Morocco’s millennia-long history, culture, music and literature.
Attendees can expect a variety of cultural evenings, film screenings, theatrical performances and book presentations.
The organizers are excited about Morocco’s involvement, adding that the Kingdom has been a frequent presence at the festival due to its Mediterranean qualities, which are perfectly suited to the event’s theme.
“Morocco is a country so close to us, but beyond the geographical borders, there is still much to explore from a cultural point of view, and this is one of the goals of the MED Festival,” the organizers stated.
They also emphasized Loulé’s growing links with Morocco, which will be recognized by key milestones, such as the opening of the Islamic Baths and the Barreto Manor in 2022.
The MED Festival has established itself as Europe’s best musical and cultural festival, with an amazing blend of international music, brilliant colors, unusual flavors and tempting fragrances.
This year’s festival will uphold this history while reflecting the cultural diversity that has become its trademark.
In addition to its renowned musical roster, which includes industry heavyweights, the festival will have a variety of cultural events. These include culinary, visual arts, entertainment, art exhibitions, dance, drama, movies, poetry, seminars, and workshops.
