A car crashed into two traditional food stands at Jemaa El Fna square in Marrakech in the early hours of Tuesday, resulting in four injuries, well-informed sources said.
The circumstances of the incident remain unknown. Those injured include three Moroccan nationals and another one from sub-Sahara.
The survivors, who were seated at the open-air stalls of the famous square, were transported to the city’s Mohammed VI University Hospital for necessary medical treatment.
Police services arrested the driver who remained inside the vehicle. The driver was taken to the fifth police district, where a preliminary investigation was initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding this event.
