Morocco and Italy will launch on Friday an exhibition entitled “Bridging Morocco and Italy” in Morocco’s capital Rabat, to enhance cultural links between the two historical countries.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Italian artist-photographer Stephane Falcione to present his works and capture the essence of the intertwined cultures of the two countries.
The Morocco-Italian Cultural Dialogue Forum will kick off the two-day event.
The two Mediterranean countries have a long history of cultural contact and shared history, especially in Sicily, since antiquity, Phoenicians and Carthaginians, Arabs and Normans have left their mark on both countries.
Morocco and Sicily share many commonalities, including language, art and cuisine.
The Moroccan-Italian Cultural Dialogue Forum is a unique initiative that aims to establish a network of young people interested in foreign cultures.
Through this project, the various parties strive to promote ideals, inspire intellectual debate, encourage cultural twinning, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge.
