The EU official said that the EU-Morocco partnership supports the kingdom’s reforms in renewable and new energy sectors, launched in 2021 to foster sustainable production and consumption methods.
In this regard, he recalled that since its inception, the EU-Morocco Green Partnership has promoted fruitful technical and political dialogue with Moroccan authorities.
In a move to further bolster Morocco’s climate and energy transition policies, the EU had announced a €50 million budget support program during COP28, he said, announcing that a new support program focusing on the green economy and the decarbonization of Moroccan industry is being developed.
