Morocco trashed Congo Brazzaville 6-0 on Tuesday at Agadir’s Adrar Stadium, to take other three points in their FIFA World Cup 2026 African qualifiers.
After some doubts hovering about Atlas Lions’ form following their hard-fought home win face to Zambia (2-1) last Friday, Morocco treated the home fans to some sumptuous football as they bore witness to the Ayoub El Kaabi show.
Eight minutes into the game, prodigy Azzeddine Ounahi opened the scoring for Atlas Lions, before his teammate, Real Betis defender, Chadi Riad, collected a loose ball inside the box and fired into the bottom right corner at the 16th minute.
Four minutes later, the striker for Super League Greece club Olympiacos Ayoub El Kaabi started his one-man show, scoring three goals (20th, 39th and 53th).
Substitute Soufiane Rahimi, 2023/24 Asian championships League top scorer, needed only few seconds on the pitch to touch his first ball and scored an exceptional goal at the 62th minute.
With this victory, Morocco consolidate their position at the top of Group E with nine points from three matches.
