The French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal’s planned visit to the Kingdom of Morocco early next July has been canceled, well-informed sources said.
The French Prime Minister was expected to pay an official visit to Morocco on July 3-5. Attal’s scheduled visit would have been just a few days ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, set to run from 26 July to 11 August .
This visit was seen as a “potential precursor to a future visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco,” according to French media.
The decision to cancel Attal’s trip to Morocco follows his political party’s defeat in the recent European Parliament elections against the far-right.
