Morocco’s U-17 women’s football team fell to their Zambian counterparts by a score of 3-1 in the first leg of the fourth and final round of the Women’s World Cup qualifiers, on Saturday at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium.
Zambian Namute Chileshe scored two goals in the first half of the match (13th and 24th minutes), before adding a third in the 82nd minute. Morocco’s Kawtar Azraf reduced the gap in the 37th minute.
The second-leg match will be played next Saturday at Berkane Stadium.
The U17 Women’s World Cup championship will be held from October 16 to November 3 in the Dominican Republic.
