Neo Motors, the first 100% Moroccan car manufacturer, on Friday opened its first showroom in Rabat, marking the first time that vehicles designed and manufactured entirely in Morocco are sold to the public.
The Rabat showroom showcases the brand’s first model, designed to meet the specific needs of the local market. It also featured a ceremonial handover of the car keys to new clients.
The Moroccan manufacturer has announced plans for a future lineup of vehicles, including electric models, demonstrating “its commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility.”
“This first Neo Motors showroom is the concretization of a dream,” Nassim Belkhayat, founder and CEO of the brand, told Morocco’s News Agency (MAP).
“We pictured this location four years ago, long before constructing the factory and designing the prototype. Our goal was to raise the Moroccan flag high with the country’s first automotive brand,” Belkhayat added.
The CEO also expressed his excitement about offering customers the opportunity to test, drive and order vehicles directly from the showroom.
Neo Motors plans to expand its national footprint by opening around 15 additional showrooms across the Kingdom. “This expansion will be in partnership with the Marjane Group and Speedy Maroc, which will be in charge of after-sales service.”
