The Moroccan National Police (DGSN) has launched its new digital platform “E-blagh” (Report), to facilitate the reporting of illegal content on Internet, according to a press release publishd on Thursday.
The platform started operations early June and can be accessed from anywhere in or outside of Morocco via any web browser on desktop or mobile devices.
The initiative, developed by experts from DGSN, is designed to combat cybercrime by enabling internet users to report illegal content at any time, seven days a week, including child exploitation, sextortion, terrorism and incitement to violence.
The website, www.e-blagh.ma, offers users a secure and efficient platform to report any criminal or harmful digital content, including content that promotes violence against individuals or organizations, endorses terrorism or violates the rights and liberties of minors and other vulnerable people.
The design of this platform prioritizes strong ethical norms and methods, particularly concerning user privacy. The portal offers a range of complaint methods, allowing participants to select either to submit personal information or remain anonymous.
The program promotes shared security, emphasizing the importance of citizens recognizing potential threats and dangers to maintain widespread security. It also symbolizes the community’s responsibility to inform authorities of any crimes or attempts posing a threat to public safety.
Upon receipt of any report, a technical assessment and searches about individuals suspected of involvement in online criminal activities will be conducted. The relevant authorities will be promptly notified, for further investigations.
Morocco’s police pledged to handle all reports and notifications with the utmost urgency, considering them to be complaints requiring investigation and verification.
