Morocco and Palestine signed, on Wednesday in Rabat, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at promoting industrial cooperation.
Inked by Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, and Palestinian Trade and Investment Minister, Arafat Hussein Suleiman Asfour Abusnina, this document provides for strengthening cooperation and mutual recognition of compliance certificates, quality marks and halal labels between the two countries.
On this occasion, Mezzour said that this MoU aims to reinforce industrial cooperation and promote trade between Morocco and Palestine.
Mezzour added that this document is an important move to enhance economic ties, describing it as an opportunity to discover new markets while cementing historic ties between the two nations.
For his part, Abusnina said that his visit aims to boost exchange and cooperation between Morocco and Palestine, mainly in trade and industry to share expertise. He also applauded Morocco’s significant achievements in the industry domain, as the signed MoU will be an opportunity for Palestine to benefit from this experience.
