Morocco’s National Police (DGSN) announced on Wednesday that it is deploying mobile catering units for its Mobile Security Group 99 (GMS 99), which is responsible for maintaining security and public order around the country, according to security sources.
The catering units are comprised of a group of trucks, each containing a mobile kitchen and food preparation equipment, including an oven and units for refrigerating and storing primary food supplies.
The units will also include dedicated support units for treating waste from cooking oils and flammable materials, special shower rooms, and portable toilets.
As part of DGSN’s “ongoing modernization efforts,” this initiative is designed to enhance the self-sufficiency of GMS99, which is consistently on the move throughout the kingdom due to its role in providing security at major events.
The new facilities have been developed to enable patrols designated with large-scale operations to operate in diverse geographical areas and provide advanced independent catering logistics, benefiting police agents and enhancing their overall operational efficiency.
