Morocco’s Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi signed a technical cooperation action plan with his French counterpart, Eric Dupond-Moretti, on Friday to enhance cooperation between Morocco and France in judicial and technical matters, for the purpose of exchanging expertise and best practices in legislative and legal reforms.
The action plan includes modernizing and digitalizing the judicial administration, improving governance, developing human resource capacity, sharing information on legislative developments in the justice sector, and offering technical support for justice reform projects.
The ministers discussed the outcomes of their administrative and technical collaboration and explored opportunities to expand cooperation in alignment with international, national, and regional justice-related developments.
During the meeting, Ouahbi underlined the importance of combining joint efforts and noted the pivotal role of this partnership in advancing the judicial systems of both countries.
Dupond-Moretti noted France’s commitment to collaborating with Morocco towards common goals such as modernization, digitalization, and human resources capacity-building.
Before the signing ceremony, Ouahbi and Dupond-Moretti visited Mohammed V Mausoleum and held discussions on various topics related to the justice sector.
