Bymaro, a Moroccan subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, has announced plans to construct an international university hospital in Rabat, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
The project, valued at approximately 450 million euros, is scheduled for completion in September, 2025.
Situated in the city center, the Mohammed VI International University Hospital will consist of four six-story buildings and a 25-story tower. The facility will offer first-rate healthcare and teaching facilities on a total surface area of over 275,000 m².
Employing 3,500 workers, the hospital will boast 553 beds, 20 operating rooms, 15 lecture halls, 72 classrooms, and 217 simulative rooms, all equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. Its goal is to support regional and national health policies and to become a benchmark for futuristic Moroccan university hospitals, in terms of architecture, quality of care, and teaching, according to the statement.
“We are proud to have been chosen to construct the Mohammed VI International University Hospital, and to contribute to improving access to quality healthcare for thousands of Moroccans,” Pierre-Eric Saint-André, Bouygues Construction Executive Vice President in charge of the International Building stated.
“We will mobilize all our technical expertise to adhere to the deadlines and meet the environmental targets set,” he added.
This project will mark Bymaro’s third hospital project in the past five years, following the delivery of the Mohammed VI University Hospital in Bouskoura in 2019 and the ongoing construction of the Smart Healthcare City in Benguerir.
