The Moroccan U17 women’s team defeated the Algerian team (4-0) on Friday at Berkane’s Municipal Stadium, in the third-round qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Inès Aboucharif scored the first goal in the 32nd minute, followed by Dina Haizoun in the 41st and Ouafae Bentahri in the 51st. The Algerian team netted an own goal in the 58th minute.
The return leg is scheduled for May 17 at the Salem Mabrouki stadium in Algiers, at 5:30 p.m. (GMT +1).
The U-17 women’s national team dominated Niger with 11-0 in the first leg of the qualifiers.
The U17-2024 Women’s World Cup will take place in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3. The qualified selections from the Africa zone will be known at the end of the fourth and final round in June.
