Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, met with Brad Lightcap, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of OpenAI, a world-renowned artificial intelligence (AI) company, at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco, in the United States, on Wednesday, the Moroccan News Agency (MAP) reported.
As Morocco strategically advances toward incorporating artificial intelligence into its educational and professional frameworks to optimize outcomes and foster innovation, the meeting provided a platform to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the fields of research and innovation in Morocco, as well as ways of developing an AI system suited to the distinctive characteristics of Moroccan society.
During her discussions, the Moroccan Minister also tackled the various initiatives and programs in which the kingdom is engaged to advance the field of AI, along with the abundance of young talent in information technology and future professions, according to MAP.
Mezzour’s working visit to San Francisco, the hub of American technological development, featured a series of meetings with CEOs of international companies active in the development of startups, information technology, and artificial intelligence, who hope to take advantage of Morocco’s promising prospects in these cutting-edge fields.
