The Saudi Council of Ministers, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and Morocco’s Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development in Jeddah, KSA, on Tuesday.
Morocco’s Minister Leila Benali and Saudi Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef inked the deal during the third Future Minerals Forum held in Riyadh from January 9 to 11.
The MoU is intended to enhance bilateral cooperation and collaboration in industry and mining and facilitate the exchange of experiences and field expertise between the two kingdoms.
The forum’s discussions covered various topics including strategies for attracting investment in the mining industry, utilizing advanced digital technologies, and implementing sustainability standards.
The event also provided a platform to examine political and economic developments around the world and their implications for mineral and energy supply chains.
