Minister of Health and Social Protection Khalid Ait Taleb initiated 14 urban and rural healthcare centers today in Meknes.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection said in a press release that five urban healthcare centers opened doors and will service the Meknes community. These facilities include “Sidi Said Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases Diagnosis Center;” “Beni M’hamed;” “El Bassatine;” “Sbata;” and “Sidi Amar.”
The Sidi Said Center benefited from an overall investment of a 1.82 million MAD upgrading program, supported by over 1.33 million MAD for biomedical equipment.
Four rural health dispensaries will begin offering services in “Bouassal;” “Ain Agoual;” “Bridia;” and “Ouled Slim.”
The rural healthcare facilities “Zoualet;” “Ait Aissa Addi;” “Bni Maraaz;” “Ouad Jdida;” and “Sidi Slimane” also commenced operations.
These facilities will provide a range of healthcare services and treatments, including general medical consultations, nursing care, and monitoring of chronic diseases such as tuberculosis, respiratory diseases, diabetes, and high blood pressure, as well as maternal and child health monitoring, school health, public awareness services, and health education.
They will help also to enhance the already-existing healthcare services in the Fes-Meknes region, and look to make healthcare services more accessible to the targeted citizenry.
The Ministry also mobilized qualified human resources and equipped them with the latest high-quality biomedical equipment to ensure the provision of innovative medical and therapeutic services in the region.
