Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita met with Senegal’s Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs Yassine Fall on Thursday in Banjul, Gambia, ahead of the 15th Islamic Summit Conference that opens tomorrow.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, a number of topics of mutual interest, and African regional matters.
Morocco and Senegal enjoy excellent political, economic, cultural, social, and spiritual relations.
Last month, a Moroccan delegation composed of senior officials represented King Mohamed VI at the inauguration ceremony of newly elected President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. Morocco was the only country outside the West African sub-region to attend.
