Morocco’s Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition Ghita Mezzour, together with the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Mohcine Jazouli, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chairman and CEO of the Inetum Group, Jacques Pommerau, to expand the Inetum Group’s activities in Morocco and create 1,500 high value-added jobs by 2027.
The project’s value is estimated at over 50 million dirhams (€5 million), according to the company’s news release.
The MoU, signed Monday in Rabat, will facilitate the expansion of the operations of Inetum group, a European leader in digital technology services, as it provides for a massive recruitment plan for engineers and graduates of leading management schools in several regions of the Kingdom, Mezzour wrote in a LinkedIn post.
“This MoU is perfectly in line with the enlightened vision of King Mohammed VI, who advocates increasing foreign investment and strengthening Morocco’s foothold in sectors with high growth potential.”
The MoU will reinforce collaboration between the Inetum Group and Morocco to achieve common strategic objectives, one of which is to support Morocco’s digital transition by investing in advanced technologies, developing innovative services, and creating skilled jobs with high added value, according to the company’s release.
“By tripling its workforce in Morocco by 2027, Inetum is offering an opening for highly qualified professionals in Morocco,” Pommeraud stated. “We also plan to set up a Purchasing service center in Casablanca, which will become an operational center for the entire Inetum Group.”
Thanks to the country’s “skilled human resources, government support and high-quality infrastructure,” Mezzour aserted that the ambitious project aligns well with Morocco’s “ongoing move upmarket in the outsourcing sector,” and demonstrates Morocco’s growing attractiveness to investors in the digital sector.
