Morocco’s national futsal team, recently crowned champions of Africa for the third consecutive time, maintains its position as the 8th best team globally, with 1,536 points, according to the latest Futsal World Ranking update.
Globally, Morocco ranks ahead of Ukraine (1.466 points) and France (1.444 points) in the top 10. All teams follow the world’s number one Brazil, followed by Spain, Portugal, Russia, Argentina, Iran and Kazakhstan, which comprise the best ten squads on a worldwide basis.
With their latest continental victory, Morocco’s ranking could potentially improve on the world’s scale.
Continental dominance remains evident for Morocco, leading the list ahead of Egypt (1.109 points), Angola (1.082), Libya (1.066), and Mozambique (891).
Morocco secured qualification for the FIFA Futsal World Cup, scheduled to feature 24 teams in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6. It will represent Africa alongside Angola, the CAN finalists, and Libya, the second runner-up in the recent edition.
