Agadir’s Judicial Police arrested five people in Tikiouine, near Agadir, ages 26-54, including a female and an individual with a criminal record, for suspicions of their involvement in the possession and trafficking of 4.27 kg of cocaine and 32 kg of cannabis resin, locally known as chira.
Three of the suspects were arrested during a security operation carried out in the Tikiouine area, where a search operation enabled the seizure of two kilograms of cocaine, in addition to a significant amount of money suspected of being the proceeds of this criminal activity.
The main supplier was caught red-handed and arrested while possessing an additional two kilograms of cocaine.
Search and inspection procedures carried out at the main supplier’s residence in Ait Melloul resulted in the seizure of additional 270 grams of cocaine and 32 kilograms of cannabis resin, along with a set of electronic scales and mobile phones.
Four of the suspects were remanded in police custody pending further investigation, under the supervision of the public prosecution.
The main supplier was kept under medical observation at the hospital for a knee injury sustained when attempting to flee by car.
