Head of Morocco’s National Police (DGSN) and of Territory Surveillance Services (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, met with Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, the Director of Qatar’s State Security Service, and other Qatari officials on Sunday in Doha on a tour to various Middle Eastern countries.
As the MENA region faces a variety of security challenges, the meeting was an opportunity to identify and address the most significant common security concerns, particularly those related to international cross-border crimes and terrorist threats, as well as the risks imposed by a number of tense hotspots around the world.
The officials discussed improving joint operational cooperation through activating important security partnerships, and ways to strengthen security coordination between Morocco and Qatar, such as exchanging expertise and experience in all security fields and intensifying efforts to confront the repercussions of terrorism with respect to regional security and stability.
