During the third meeting of the High Joint Commission for the Morocco-Belgium Partnership in Rabat on Monday, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and Hadja Lahbib, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Federal Cultural Institutions, signed a cooperation roadmap outlining the actions to be taken in political discourse.
This agreement includes holding political consultations and meetings of foreign ministers and organizing the High Commission Meeting, as well as setting out the prospects for bilateral collaboration in various sectors such as energy transition, migration, security, and human rights.
Lahbib and Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, penned a memorandum of understanding in green energy to streamline collaborative action, with a particular focus on green ammonia.
The agreement also aims to promote exchanges regarding the production and distribution of green hydrogen and ammonia for local consumption and for regional and international export to industrial clusters in the Kingdom of Belgium and to other countries within the European Union.
