A new group of 86 Moroccan citizens and their families residing in the Gaza Strip were evacuated on Tuesday to Egypt via the Rafah border crossing.
The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Morocco’s Ambassador to Egypt, Mohamed Ait Ouali, and in coordination with the appropriate Egyptian security authorities.
With the increasingly unsafe situation in the Gaza Strip since Israel began the war on Gaza after Hamas’s attack on October 7, the Moroccan embassies in Egypt and Palestine have jointly conducted a series of evacuation operations, moving 375 Moroccan nationals and their families residing in Gaza to safety, via the Rafah crossing, into Egypt.
According to the latest figures of the Palestinian Health Ministry, the death toll of Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 7 has surpassed 33,000.
