The Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) announced on Tuesday the implementation of a new work organization, commencing on April 15, 2024, to ensure continuous operation of customs services at the Tanger Med port around the clock.
This measure, taken in consultation with port authorities and the private sector, aligns with Customs’ commitment to supporting businesses, ADII said in a press release.
Customs’ clearance operations will now be available 24/7 at Tanger Med starting on April 15, 2024. It is anticipated that this measure will streamline customs processes for goods, reduce clearance times, boost the competitiveness of exporting companies, and enhance the efficiency of international transport operators.
To successfully implement this initiative, Customs has taken the necessary procedures to reinforce its workforce at the port and to adjust its organizational structure to meet the demands of the new operational model. ADII urges economic operators to prepare accordingly to ensure that these collective efforts lead to positive outcomes.
