The Irish airline “Ryanair” recently launched a new domestic route between Marrakech and Errachidia, operating two flights per week.
The inaugural flight, using a Boeing 737 with a capacity of 180 passengers, landed at Errachidia airport from Marrakech. An inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of local officials.
In December, 2023, Ryanair announced approval to operate domestic flights in Morocco. This expansion includes the launch of 11 domestic routes connecting nine Moroccan destinations, namely Agadir, Errachidia, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Tangier, and Tetouan.
These new flights will help open up regions such as Ouarzazate, Essaouira, and Errachidia, while also allowing international visitors to extend their stay in multiple cities, thereby boosting tourism across Morocco.
Ryanair seeks to double its annual traffic in Morocco, targeting over 10 million passengers by 2027, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
