American hotel chain the Radisson Hotel Group has announced its strategy to expand its presence in Morocco, aiming to have a total of 25 hotels in the country by 2030, according to the Hotelmanagement-network.com website.
Currently, Radisson operates and/or is constructing a total of 11 hotels in Morocco.
“Our focus will be on strengthening our presence in Casablanca and Marrakech, where we currently operate the conveniently located Radisson Blu Hotel in Casablanca City Center, and the highly acclaimed Radisson Blu Hotel in Marrakech Carré Eden,” Radisson Hotel Group senior director for development Erwan Garnier said.
The company also intends to establish itself in Rabat, Tangier, Agadir, and Fes.
Garnier added that with a strategic focus on the upcoming 2030 FIFA World Cup in Morocco and a five-year plan, Radisson Hotel Group sees substantial potential in these cities for a diverse range of properties, including business hotels, serviced apartments, mixed-use projects, and resorts.
“The introduction of the Radisson brand with the imminent opening of the Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle in the vibrant Gauthier district of Casablanca marks a notable development,” Garnier highlighted.
Last year, Radisson Hotel Group made significant strides in Africa with the addition of eight new hotel signings, contributing over 1,600 rooms to its portfolio.
The company aims to expand its presence in Africa to 150 hotels within the next five years, a signifcant increase from the current 100 hotels.
Radisson Hotel Group has been the fastest-growing hotel group in Africa over the past three years, with 20 new hotel openings across the continent, leading to a 15% annual growth in its Africa portfolio.
