The mean national dam capacity registered 26.52%, reaching 4,275.55 million cubic meters following the latest significant rainfall event. The Tansift Dam is the leader of the pack with just over 55% capacity, according to Logistics Ministry data.
The Loukkos Basin Dam came in second at 47.78%, followed by the Sebou Dam at 40.10%, and Guir-Ziz-Gheris Basin Dam at 25.78%. The Oum Rabia Dam recorded the lowest proportion nationwide, which only amounted to 5.89 % capacity.
After recent rainfalls, the dams were slightly higher with a reserve of 4.279.86 billion cubic meters, at an estimated filling rate of 25.1 percent, and a reserve of 4.053 billion cubic meters as of the beginning of the month.
Despite the slight improvement, the situation remains concerning compared to the same day last year, which showed a capacity of 34.8 percent, and a reserve of 5.616 billion cubic meters.
