The Midparc integrated industrial platform, situated in Nouacer (30 km from Casablanca), and Böllhoff Group, a German firm specializing in technologies, assembly and logistics solutions, signed an agreement for the establishment of Böllhoff’s plant in Morocco, on Wednesday in Rabat.
Böllhoff Group, launched in 1877, is present in 43 locations across 25 countries and 5 continents.
Midparc, home to some 80% of the country’s aeronautical activity with large firms such as Boeing and Stelia Aerospace, offers exceptional logistical positioning at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, making it a prime industrial zone in Morocco.
This agreement seeks to establish a unit for the production of fasteners for the aviation and automotive industries. The German giant will be allocated a 2,000 m² facility with the opportunity for further expansion.
During the official signing ceremony, Minister of Industry and Commerce Ryad Mezzour recognized the importance of the partnership in strengthening the Kingdom’s industrial sovereignty.
Mezzour noted that this partnership marks the first time a German investor in assembly solutions has entered the Moroccan market.
Hamid Benbrahim El Andaloussi, Head of Midparc, congratulated Böllhoff Group’s choice to operate from Midparc, Morocco, citing the viability of the business model presented.
He also explained that the move is intended to strengthen and sustain Morocco’s industrial sector, hence increasing the country’s industrial self-reliance.
Michael W. Böllhoff, co-director of Böllhoff Group, reiterated the importance of the collaboration, stating that the company plans to invest more in Morocco, expand its workforce, and extend its activities throughout the next five years.
