Morocco’s Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport garnered five Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards in 2023, while the Marrakech-Menara International Airport received three awards, according to Airports Council International (ACI).
The Casablanca Mohammed V airport received accolades for “Best Airport by Size and Region,” “Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff,” “Easiest Airport Journey,” “Most Enjoyable Airport,” and the “Cleanest Airport” in the African continent.
Marrakech-Menara Airport was honored with “Best Airport by Size and Region,” “Easiest Airport Journey,” and “Cleanest Airport.”
Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport and Marrakech Menara Airport handle anywhere from five million to 15 million passengers annually.
The ASQ awards are based on passenger feedback, with over 600,000 passengers participating in the evaluation of more than 400 airports worldwide.
The ASQ program evaluates a wide range of relevant indicators covering the entire passenger experience, including services offered, waiting times, staff courtesy, and facility cleanliness,” the National Airports Office (ONDA) stated in a press release. “The main objective is to measure passenger satisfaction, understand their expectations, and compare airport performances with other ASQ program participants internationally.”
ONDA added that over 2,900 passengers were surveyed throughout the year 2023.
The suite of awards reflects the ONDA team’s and its partners’ ongoing commitment to meet the growing needs of passengers flying in and out of Morocco, and recognition of Morocco’s continuing improvement approach to service quality, in line with the ONDA’s “Envol 2025” transformation plan.
The awards will be presented to ONDA at the next Customer Experience Global Summit and Exhibition, scheduled from September 23-26, 2024, in Atlanta, US State of Georgia.
ACI is the international association for over 1,950 international airports in 185 countries, accounting for nearly 80% of global air traffic.
