Over 2.1 million people visited Morocco during the first two months of 2024, marking a 14% increase year on year, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity.
“The efforts made to promote [Moroccan] destinations and improve their accessibility continue to yield positive results,” the ministry stated in a release. For 2024, Moroccan tourism is “on track to achieve the goals set out in the roadmap,” with 1.1 million arrivals just in February, a significant increase of 18% compared to February 2023.
53% of the arrivals have been foreign tourists while 47% are Moroccan expatriates.
This growth trend is in line with the country’s vision for tourism in 2023–2026 and demonstrates both the ongoing attraction of Morocco and the effectiveness of marketing and air travel initiatives.
