Managing Director of Morocco’s financial arm (CDG) Khalid Safir, and Morocco’s National Railway Office (ONCF) Mohamed Rabie Khlie, signed a strategic partnership framework agreement on Friday, defining the terms and scope of collaboration between the two groups, according to a joint release publish Monday.
This agreement lays the foundations for a sustainable and profitable partnership between the two parties in a number of identified areas, including financial consulting and structuring, land development, property management, renewable energies and energy efficiency.
For the ONCF Group, this partnership supports the new development plan of the office and its subsidiaries, in line with the major changes achieved over the last two decades.
These changes aim to establish and promote sustainable mobility accessible to all, to meet the country’s strategic, economic and environmental challenges, and to live up to expectations in the coming years.
For the CDG Group, this approach lies at the heart of its new strategy of supporting public policies in the development of strategic national projects with a strong economic and social impact. “It is part of a long-term vision, enabling us to provide sustainable support to that partnership by offering, through CDG’s various subsidiaries, all our technical and financial expertise, enabling them to structure their development projects as effectively as possible, and to mobilize the necessary financing from various stakeholders,” Safir said.
Finally, the synergy between the CDG and ONCF Groups on strategic projects reinforces their mutual willingness to fully support the dynamic economic and social development of Morocco as wanted by King Mohammed VI.
