The President of the Association of Businesswomen of Morocco (AFEM), Leila Doukkali, signed a partnership agreement on Monday in Rabat with the Head of the Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organization (BEO), Feryal Abdellah Nass, to boost the growth of women-led businesses by promoting exchanges of experiences and best practices.
This collaboration between a Moroccan and a Bahraini business association is to build networks among women in and across their respective business communities, with a focus on international investment and trade opportunities, particularly in agriculture and retail.
Addressing the press at the signing ceremony, Doukkali highlighted the importance of strengthening economic and commercial ties with her Bahraini peers. She underlined the potential for significant collaboration across industries, as well as the importance of creating an atmosphere that encourages women’s entrepreneurship.
Abdellah Nass touted the agreement’s significance in promoting economic synergies between Morocco and Bahrain, specifically in sectors such as health, education, and tourism.
She underlined the importance of promoting women’s entrepreneurship and expanding opportunities for women, especially with regard to technology and innovation, as a critical driver of countries’ economic growth.
