Innov’X, a multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral company affiliated with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), announced on Wednesday the creation of its new subsidiary, Hydrojeel, dedicated to green hydrogen and green ammonia.
“Hydrojeel intends to be a leading global player in green hydrogen and ammonia by developing an industrial ecosystem that includes innovative and large-scale projects, leveraging the co-development of proprietary technologies and solutions,” according to an Innov’X statement.
Hydrojeel embodies Innov’X’s ambitious vision to become a pioneer in the green hydrogen and ammonia sector, and to help Morocco stand as a leader in green hydrogen and ammonia by participating in the creation of an ecosystem that ensures the sustainability of this new sector and contributes value to Morocco’s industry, according to the company.
“The creation of Hydrojeel marks a significant step in our commitment to addressing the challenges of energy transition and contributing to a sustainable future,” Hydrojeel CEO Amine Houssaim said.
“With Hydrojeel, we are at the forefront of innovation in green hydrogen and ammonia, strengthening our leadership in renewable energies and opening up new paths for growth for our company and our country.”
On behalf of the OCP group, Hydrojeel will develop a Green Ammonia program, primarily to aid the production of soil fertility solutions and plant nutrition.
The program will involve significant investments in enhancing long-term capabilities in green hydrogen production technologies and processes.
