A delegation of 274 scholars, preachers, and Quran reciters will be dispatched to 14 countries from March 9 to April 12 to provide religious support to Moroccan expatriates during the Ramadan of 2024, announced the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccan expatriates.
“Similar to previous years, the Foundation has assembled a delegation of 274 scholars, preachers, and Quran reciters to conduct religious talks and worship activities throughout the month of Ramadan, from March 9 to April 12, 2024,” reads the Foundation’s press release.
This initiative intends to meet the demands and expectations of Moroccans residing in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Canada, the United States, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Norway, and Iceland.
The delegation includes 41 university professors, 38 individuals with PhDs in preaching, and 45 individuals with Master’s Degrees in preaching.
It added that 60 preachers will handle sermons and Quran memorization sessions, while 30 imams will lead the Tarawih prayers.
On March 6, the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccan expatriates will host an event to introduce its “Ramadan 2024” program, with the participation of 40 delegation members.
The Foundation has been providing religious support to Moroccans worldwide throughout the month of Ramadan since 1992.
