The UK economy is positioned among the foremost markets for Moroccan fruit and vegetable exports, reported the agricultural data analytics platform “EastFruit,” on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Poland is demonstrating the fastest growth rate.
Over the last five years, Morocco’s export trajectory has constantly ranked among the top 20 markets, with Poland leading the way with an outstanding annual growth rate of 67%.
Moroccan revenues from UK export proceeds stand at $110 million annually, a substantial increase of 43% over the past five years.
Morocco’s main exports to Poland include tomatoes and fresh and frozen berries, with shipments of lemons, watermelons, and avocados also witnessing a significant and rapid increase.
Despite its distance from Morocco, Canada has exhibited an upward trajectory as well, increasing its imports from Morocco by 21%, now totaling $18 million per year. This has strategically placed Canada in the top seven markets for Moroccan products, with purchases of clementines, citrus fruits, frozen strawberries, and fresh berries leading the list.
