Firefighters from the Civil Defense successfully brought a massive fire under control at 5 a.m. on Tuesday in Agadir’s Tikiouine neighborhood. The blaze, which occurred at a scrap market, caused a state of panic.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. It inflicted significant material damages but no casualties were reported.
Local reports pointed to swift action from civil defense and national police (DGSN) elements, deploying logistical and human resources to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to other locales.
