MidParc Casablanca industrial zone and the Spanish aerospace group, Aciturri, signed a partnership agreement on Wednesday in Casablanca to construct a facility at Midparc. Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, attended the signing ceremony.
Mezzour stated that this partnership “…marks a new success story taking shape at Midparc.” He went on to say, “The signing of this partnership agreement represents a significant step forward in strengthening our aerospace industry and aligns with our commitment to deeply develop the aerostructure and engine ecosystems in which Aciturri can play a crucial role.”
“By combining Aciturri’s know-how with the national industrial potential, we are confident that this partnership will pave the way for new avenues of growth and competitiveness in the sector,” he continued.
Aciturri CEO Gines Clemente highlighted the importance of Aciturri’s establishment in Morocco, a strategically important location that will enable international development while enhancing the company’s competitiveness.
Head of Midparc Hamid Benbrahim El Andaloussi shed light on the strength of the Moroccan aerospace industrial platform, which continues to attract major players within the sector.
He pointed out, “This new agreement will increase Moroccan integration through the production of aerostructures and engine parts.”
Aciturri acquired the Moroccan company GOAM Industrie–which is based in Midparc and specializes in producing blades for aircraft engines–in 2023.
Since the acquisition of GOAM, 100 jobs were created in 2023, with the ambition of reaching 150 by the end of 2024.
