Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatima Zahra Ammor, unveiled the “Go Siyaha” program, backed by a budget of 720 million dirhams, which aims to assist over 1,700 tourism businesses in addressing current and future challenges within the sector, in a ceremony held on Wednesday in Rabat.
During the program’s launch, Minister Ammor noted that “Go Siyaha” is more than just an investment support program; it additionally offers technical assistance to businesses that seek to digitalize, boost income, and shift to a more environmentally friendly model.
Ammor highlighted the relevance of the program within the new tourism roadmap for 2023-2026, in addition to the need for united efforts, particularly in boosting the aviation sector in order to attract a larger influx of tourists.
She also acknowledged the necessity of a unique and far-reaching entertainment offer to propel Morocco into a new era of tourism experiences. Indeed this is the rationale for launching “Go Siyaha” through collaborative efforts of private contributors and the National Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ANPME), or “Morocco SMEs.”
The project aims to increase business competitiveness and innovation, ensuring that businesses can adjust to shifting tourist preferences.
Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Commerce, underscored the significance of Morocco’s SME Agency in supporting competition and prosperity. This includes contribution through mentoring, counseling, technical assistance, and targeted investment support.
Brahim Arjdal, Head of Morocco SMEs, presented the vital elements of the “Go Siyaha” program, which involves enhancing the quality of tourism through investment support, developing competitiveness through counseling and technical skills, and encouraging sustainable development.
