Abdellatif Hammouchi, Head of Moroccan National Police (DGSN) and Territory Surveillance services (DGST), engaged in discussions with Eugenio Pereiro Blanco, Head of the General Commissariat of Information (CGI) within the intelligence services corps, on Tuesday in Rabat. Blanco is currently on a working visit to Morocco and is accompanied by a substantial security delegation, according to a statement issued by the DGSN.
The meeting, which is part of ongoing talks between Moroccan and Spanish security and intelligence authorities, aims to examine ways to improve collaboration across multiple security areas.
According to the same statement, the discussions provided a fresh opportunity to examine the two countries’ achievements and high-level security collaboration.
Looking into topics of common interest, the officials investigated novel risks and challenges, collectively strategizing ways to address them.
Morocco and Spain are bonded by a multidimensional strategic cooperation which spans multiple domains, as outlined in the roadmap drawn up in April 2022 during the Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s visit to Morocco.
