Air Arabia Maroc, a leading low-cost airline and member of UAE’s Air Arabia Group, unveiled on Monday new direct flights beginning May 1 from its latest airport base at Rabat-Salé Airport in Rabat, Morocco, to five international destinations: Barcelona, Brussels, Basel, Paris, and Istanbul.
The inauguration of the air carrier’s seventh base of operations, comes a month after the opening of its Tetouan facility in January. Air Arabia Maroc already offers international flights from Casablanca, Nador, Oujda, Fes, and Tangier, linking Morocco to the world.
Expressing enthusiasm about the new project, CEO of the Air Arabia Group Adel Abdullah Ali declared in a statement, “We are pleased to introduce new direct flights from Rabat to five European cities, strengthening our network and providing travelers with even more choices and convenience. The launch of operations from the new base, Rabat, reflects our commitment to enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth in Morocco and beyond.”
With an up-to-date fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, the carrier has expanded its worldwide footprint and increased its capacity within Morocco, now operating over 65 routes from 7 bases in the kingdom.
